Deadline and fees

EARLY BIRD DEADLINE  : Until Friday, May 25, 2012, the fee for each submission is $40. After May 25, 2012, the first submission is $47, with a fee of $40 for each additional submission.

FINAL DEADLINE : All submission details and payments must be received through our website no later than 5:00 pm EST, Friday, June 29, 2012. CDs must be mailed to our office and received by the same date.

Eligibility dates

Recordings released between June 15, 2011 and June 14, 2012 are eligible for submission.

Required material

The following items must be included with your application for each category to which you apply :

• The completed application
• Six (6) copies of the recording for each category (CDs must be mailed to the CFMAS. MP3s and other audio files are not accepted formats).
• Submission fee(s), payable by cheque, money order or credit card.
• One photo of the artist/group (high-resolution digital photo uploaded via your online submission form).
• A brief artist bio (500-word limit, must be uploaded via your online submission form).
• Proof of CD manufacturing and release date. Manufacturing invoices or a letter from the artist/group record label or distributor are acceptable (submissions to Young Performer of the Year category are exempt from this requirement). Scans of these documents must be uploaded via your online submission form.

Payment

Fees are payable by cheque, money order or credit card. Make cheques payable to Canadian Folk Awards Project. Visa or Mastercard are accepted online via PayPal to folkawards@gmail.com or by phone at 1-800-385-FOLK (3655).
