Announcing the Performer Lineup for the 2025 Canadian Folk Music Awards Week Concerts – Tickets Now on Sale
Ottawa/Gatineau, ON – Thursday, February 6, 2025 – The Canadian Folk Music Awards (CFMA) are thrilled to unveil the performer lineup for the 2025 Awards Week Concerts. For the 20th Anniversary of the CFMA, the CFMA is returning to the birthplace of the awards in Ottawa/Gatineau.
This year’s awards week celebration runs from April 3 to 6, 2025 and features a series of bilingual concerts that spotlight the diversity, creativity, and cultural importance of Canada’s folk music scene. Instead of just one awards show, each concert will include several awards presentations.
VIP Wristbands and Tickets Now on Sale
Fans can secure their VIP Wristbands now at the early bird price of $125 (tax inclusive) via folkawards.ca. These wristbands grant access to all four concerts—a significant saving compared to purchasing tickets individually (valued at $148 + tax and fees).

Songs & Stories Songwriter Concert

- About the Event: Celebrate 20 years of folk excellence with a grand gala concert showcasing some of the most celebrated names in Canadian folk music.
- Performers: Connie Kaldor, Indian City, Kiran Ahluwalia, Lucy MacNeil, Mia Kelly, Sirène et Matelot
- Awards: Pushing the Boundaries, Traditional Album, Contemporary Album, Ensemble, Single, Instrumental Group

Trad & Global Roots Concert

- Venue: Canadian Museum of History
- About the Event: Immerse yourself in the roots and rhythms of traditional folk and global roots music, where cultural traditions blend to create unforgettable performances.

Folk for Families Concert

- About the Event: Perfect for music lovers of all ages, this family-friendly concert features a fun-filled lineup by CFMA nominees.
- Performers: Abigail Lapell, Amelia Parker, Irish Millie, Will and Seeka
- Awards: Children’s Album, Young Performer
- Admission is free with museum entry or with a wristband
