Why Attend?
Since its inception in 2005, the CFMA has been a beacon for the folk music scene, shining a light on the rich diversity and depth of talent across Canada. This year, as we celebrate in Newfoundland and Labrador, we’re not just hosting an awards show—we’re fostering a sense of unity and appreciation for the art that connects us all.
Special Thanks to Our Supporters
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to our funders and partners, including Celebrate NL, Destination St. John’s, Music NL, Factor and many more, whose generosity and support make this celebration possible. Together, we’re nurturing the future of folk music in Canada.
Join the First-Ever CFMA Watch Party
This year, the CFMAs are excited to be piloting a Watch Party program where up to 12 venues outside the host city will be selected to host a live webcast of the awards evenings. CFMA will provide marketing support via graphics suitable for social and print media, PR and technical support. Our goal is to create an opportunity for people to come together to watch the awards shows as a community. Along with CFMA volunteers, Jordan Harnum of Twillingate, NL is identifying and reaching out to possible venues. Details can be obtained via watchparty@folkawards.ca
Be Part of the Celebration
This isn’t just an awards weekend; it’s a testament to the enduring spirit of folk music in Canada. Whether in person or online, your presence adds to the melody that makes the CFMA an unforgettable experience. Don’t miss out on the chance to be part of this extraordinary celebration of music, culture, and community.
